Environmental sustainability

Environmental sustainability is the idea that the resources of the environment should be used in a way that they can sustain the life of future generations. According to this principle people should design their societies in such a way that meet their energy needs and at the same time protect the ecosystems. Possible ways to achieve this are: using water sustainably, investing in renewable sources of energy and using the natural resources reasonably.

An unsustainable development is when the natural resources of the Earth are used faster than they can be replenished. Theoretically the continuing environmental degradation can lead to serious natural destruction. Such destruction on a global scale can cause serious problems to the survival of the most underprivileged and vulnerable groups of our planet. If the degradation continues, this will inevitably affect everyone.
